Western Reserve Resource Conservation & Development Council
Who We Are:
The Western Reserve RC&D Council is a 501(c)3 private non-profit organization with membership consisting of county commissioners and council members, Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors, and members-at-large from 9 Northeast Ohio counties: Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Lorain, Medina, Portage, Summit, and Trumbull.
To plan, promote and implement conservation and sustainable use of Northeast Ohio’s natural resources in both rural and urban areas.
A sustainable regional community with wild and open spaces, creeks and lakes, clean water and air, in balance with a viable mixed economy that includes agriculture, commerce, industry, and tourism.
We function as a conservation project’s fiscal agent, allowing us to receive and distribute Grant funds from both government and private sources.
The Western Reserve RC&D Council prohibits discrimination in all programs and activities on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disabilities, political beliefs, sexual orientation, marital status or family status.
